Certificates

ratesYou’ve probably heard a number of expressions about risk and investing, right? Ones like, “There’s no such thing as a free lunch,” or “The higher the return, the higher the risk.” No matter what the expression, it is generally agreed that in order to earn a high rate of return on your investment dollar, you’re going to have to put that dollar in an investment that carries a higher degree of risk.

What if risk is not an option you’re willing to take with your investment dollars? What do you do if you’re just simply not a risk taker? At Educational Community Alliance Credit Union, we understand that not everyone is a risk taker when it comes to seeking a good rate of return on his or her investment money. That’s why we offer our Share Certificates.

Our Share Certificates work like a bank Certificate of Deposit (CD): Very simply. You select a time period you want to invest your money for and we tell you what the interest rate will be. We guarantee both the safety of your money and the interest rate we’ll pay you. No risk, no hassle.

The National Credit Union Association (NCUA) insures your money up to $250,0000. We also provide additional deposit insurance (up to $250,000 per member account) from Excess Share Insurance (ESI), a private company.

The interest rates we pay on our Share Certificates are competitive.
