Loan Officer

Full-Time | In Person

At EducaCU, our lending team plays a key role in helping members reach their financial goals. We’re looking for a Loan Officer who is member-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across both lending and operations.

What You’ll Do

This role is primarily lending-focused, with opportunities to support branch operations as needed.

Lending Responsibilities

• Originate, process, underwrite, close, and disburse loans

• Evaluate loan applications and supporting documentation, including credit reports

• Make lending decisions and communicate outcomes to members clearly and professionally

• Prepare loan contracts and related paperwork, ensuring members understand all documentation

• Perfect liens, manage title filings, collateral insurance, and related requirements

• Process paid-off loans and complete collateral releases

• Ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and properly scanned for audit purposes

• Actively cross-sell credit union products that meet member needs

Member Service & Operations Support

• Greet and assist members and visitors in a courteous, professional manner

• Provide in-person and phone support related to credit union products and policies

• Open new accounts and service existing accounts, including certificates and IRAs

• Assist members with account balancing and general inquiries

• Support branch operations as needed, including account openings, card orders, and filling in as a Member Service Associate or Teller

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma required

• One to three years of related experience

• Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate interest, percentages, and proportions

• Ability to apply basic algebra concepts

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable working in a cross-functional, member-facing role

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $17.00–$22.00 per hour
